Meditation Techniques – The Breath Of Fire Meditation Technique
Here’s a meditation technique that will energize you whenever and wherever you choose to use it. It’s one of those meditation techniques that you can take with you as it only takes a few minutes.
Some time in the middle of the afternoon most of us are ready for a quiet siesta. However, most offices don’t come equipped with a comfy chaise longue – and most employers won’t give you time off for a kip.
To boost your energy, with this meditation technique you could try visualizing a ball of fire just below your diaphragm, which gradually spreads its hot energy throughout your body. Taking a short walk away from your desk will also help.
The Purpose Of Breath Of Fire
The Breath of Fire meditation technique will fill you with hot, life-giving energy. This is the kind of feeling you need before getting stuck into any kind of job, especially if it requires physical strength or creative power.
Breath Of Fire
1. Sit or stand in a good easy posture. Close your eyes if you like, but it’s not strictly necessary. Start to breathe normally and make sure your whole body is relaxed. In particular, relax your jaw and throat.
2. Inhale through your nose and then snap your diaphragm up to exhale, shooting out a short breath. Inhale again and snap your diaphragm up again. Do this a few times until you think you have mastered this breathing meditation technique. Then go for it and do 20 or so breath cycles in a row. Breathe normally again and then do another group of short breaths.
If you feet dizzy after this meditation technique, check your posture and breathing and keep to just one group of 20 cycles.
