Meditation Techniques For Better Health

The mind and body are so completely interlinked that if we keep physically fit we are also mentally alert. Likewise, if we utilize our mental capacities we can affect our physical health and performance, too.

I feel safe in the knowledge that my body is constantly renewing itself

It feels good to know that every damaged cell is replaced with a healthy one

My immune system is strong and fights off any infections easily

My mind and my body are working in harmony to keep me healthy

Imagine yourself lying or sitting comfortably. As you see yourself there you notice a healing glow of colored light surrounding your body, but not touching it.

Let that color become stronger, until it has a very clear pure color, the color of healing for you.

Now, as you watch, that healing, colored light begins to flow into the top of your head. You can see it slowly draining into all parts of the head, face, ears, and starts its journey down through the neck and shoulders, into the tops of the arms … It continues to flow down through the arms and the chest area, that healing, colored light, penetrating all the muscles and organs . . . even as you watch you can also feel a healing warmth coming
into your body . . . now… as it flows down into the stomach area, the back, right the way down to the base of the spine.

At the same time it is reaching your fingertips too, and that warmth is there in your body right now … It continues to flow down through the legs towards the knees, down into the calves and shins, the ankles and on into the feet. All the way into the toes, that healing, colored light just glows throughout the whole body now.

And now that the whole body is suffused with colored, healing light, and there is a warmth throughout your body, you notice the light concentrating in certain areas, areas that need healing attention. The warmth there seems more obvious as that healing light focuses upon repairing and replacing damaged tissue and focuses your own inner resources to help and heal and bring comfort to that area. And you feel that area gaining the benefits of that healing light, combined with comfortable warmth.

Then you can allow the light to disperse again and gradually return to your normal wakeful state, knowing that in those areas that need it, the healing process will continue to focus your own healing resources into the necessary repair and replacement cycle that is so natural and normal in all living creatures.
